ABOUT US

ABOUT GAYS WITH KIDS

GWK is a services company focused on delivering unique and valuable services for our community of gay and queer dads and dads-to-be.

Our Vision: A world in which every queer man is able to pursue his dreams of fatherhood supported by family, friends and the law.
Our Mission: To inspire, inform and guide gay, bi and trans men throughout their journey of family building, and then to support these dads to live their best authentic lives while navigating fatherhood.
Gays With Kids was born in 2014, and we are the world’s largest and only resource, website and social network dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of gay, bi and trans dads and dads-to-be.
At GWK, we set out to inspire and educate future dads; to build a community founded on truth, love and support; and to change the hearts and minds of our family, neighbors and colleagues. Together, we will conquer any challenges that come our way with confidence and pride.

Meet the Team

Brian Rosenberg (right) & Ferd van Gameren

GWK Co-Founders

Brian has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience, but his real passion has been the creation of Gays With Kids, the one-stop destination for gay, bi and trans dads and dads-to-be.
Brian and his husband Ferd became first-time dads in 2009, creating their family through adoption and surrogacy. At the time, there were few resources available to help queer men become dads, and even fewer for those who already were, so they launched GWK in March 2014.
Together since 1993, the secret to this couple’s longevity is Ferd’s prowess in the kitchen and Brian’s great appreciation for anything his husband cooks!

Rosalind Lonsdale

Director of Community & Sponsorships

Rosalind met Brian and Ferd a year before they launched GWK. How did she react when they first shared the plans for their new endeavor with her? By volunteering to help out however she could! She quickly proved herself to be an invaluable member of the GWK team. And while she wears many hats, we’re especially grateful for her incredible leadership cultivating and growing our social media channels and value proposition for our sponsors.

Jay Rigler

Controller

Jay has held roles in finance and financial guidance throughout his career, including as a personal financial advisor, at a credit card, and running analytics at a top-tier advertising agency. Throughout his career, he has seen the impact that a lack of financial literacy can have on individuals and entrepreneurs and that, too many times, families and small businesses get caught in a cycle of too much debt that strangles their budgets. That’s why in 2015, he started Practically Independent as a resource to help individuals and small businesses take control of their money with a 12-step plan he created to eliminate debt and build wealth.
