Founded in 2014 with a mission to help gay men become dads and navigate fatherhood, Gays With Kids has since become the world’s premier destination, resource center, and social network dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of gay and queer dads and dads-to-be.
With more and more gay and queer men looking to create families of their own, the GWK team was struck by the lack of resources and education available on a national level organized to support all these parents-to-be.The downside of this lack of support? Most dads would agree that, at times, their journeys to fatherhood feels overly-complicated, leaves them feeling totally overwhelmed, and causes considerable stress.
Guided by a simple yet lofty goal to fix all this, we created the GWK Academy app, which launched in 2022. Our app provides a unique combination of education and training alongside personal coaching, mentorship and access to GWK’s vetted and approved family-building partners. We believe that over time, the GWK Academy app will become known as the de-facto very first stop on any gay or queer man’s journey to fatherhood.
