For Terrell and Jarius Joseph, March 2016 was one of the most difficult times of their lives. Their surrogate, who was pregnant at 20 week, had a miscarriage. Only a few weeks earlier, the Atlanta couple had done a gender reveal, sharing with friends and family that they were having a baby girl. They named her Aubrey.
When their surrogate miscarried, Terrell and Jarius were devastated.

The two men met in college through mutual friends. Terrell and Jarius considered all the options when it came to becoming dads, but decided surrogacy made the most sense for them. But their path was fraught with difficulties. The dads-to-be met and were connected with several surrogates, and struggled to get pregnant with another.
Terrell and Jarius were thrilled when they found out they were expecting a girl, only to be devastated when they lost her.
But, the men persevered with their dream of fatherhood.

Congratulations to the Joseph family!
